Michael Gillespie, the president of Cutting Edge Design & Construction, earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Tennessee in 1985. He began his career in the areospace industry working on a wide variety of missile systems for Pacific Missile Test Center in Point Mugu, California.During these years he was educated in several engineering disciplines at a variety of institutions. His work took him all over the world exposing him to a wide variety of problems and solutions. Mike later joined Lockheed Missile and Space Company where he worked for approximately 10 years. During his tenure at Lockheed he primary function was developing intercontinental ballistic misslie systems. Mike was also involved in construction of missile manufacturing facilities. The exacting standards required in this industry provided the foundation necessary to excel and be an innovator in the construction and real estate development industries .

Mr Gillespie's love for architecture and construction was forged during his college years where he worked in a variety of manual construction jobs. His interests in these fields compleled him to leave aerospace engineering in 1995. That same year he formed Cutting Edge Design & Construction and began working exclusively in the construction and real estate development industry.
